Panasonic 46 HDTV

Panasonic 46 HDTV

This is based by my familiarity with the TC-P50G10. I did a quantity of examination plus tried out a number of TVs prior to settling down on this individual, thus I thought I would let somebody in on some of the information and my know-how with the TV, and with a bit of luck make up your verdict in choosing the TV a tad easier.

According to my examination, the Panasonic G10 probably has the best representation superiority amongst all TVs in group production as of the period of this assessment (May, 2009). Most notably it has pitch dark black level, scorching brightness, high color precision, and good motion dispensation.

I chose the Panasonic plasma on top of Sony and Samsung LCD for a few reasons.

1. Compared to 120Hz LCDs, Panasonic is extensively cheaper than Sony and Samsung.

2. I believe the G10 is better in handling movement than the 120HZ LCDs.

3. The colors on the plasma are extra appealing to me than those on the LCDs.

4. It has improved performance angle. It looks ideal from any point of view you will actually watch the TV without washing out the color, preserving the quality of the color.

Color appeal is biased and calls for description of subjective experience. There are heaps of technological comparisons of colors on different displays on the internet, but my perceptual feel is that the colors on the Panasonic Plasma are very alive, effective, enticing and mesmerizing. The colors look like things in actual life, but they are more intense than real life. A friend said "it's prettier than real, but not vague. It is absolutely like an better colorful world." If you prefer high-level fidelity to real life colors, you be able to use the THX mode to tune it down to be very faithful to studio color measures. LCD in comparison is also very vibrant, but it doesn't look as practical. It's more like laptop graphics and not as much of like colors of living things. To be precise, this may have to do with the deeper black level on the plasma than the LCD.

Is the Panasonic a scam

In no way is it a scam!

In fact, the G10 is brighter and more contrast than last year's top model Panasonic TH-50PZ850U 50-inch Viera 1080p Plasma HDTV.

What else do I like in relation to the TV? It is very dazzling for a Plasma TV. According to tech specifications and online reviews, it is the brightest plasma ever made. In Custom Mode, it is extra than bright adequate to look at in my room with complete sun light. It is quite handy in displaying at a low level resolution and low eminence online video such as YouTube or Netflix Instant Watch. The further boost in clarity, contrast, and saturation make the low value online video look much more interesting and lively.

I used third party firmware DD-WRT to set up a Linksys WRT54G2 Wireless-G Broadband Router as a wireless bridge. So the TV can get online without running a cable to my main router.

I find this TV fits my desires perfectly. On the contrary no TV is perfect, at least not for the mechanically savvy.

Pros over look the cons

You have read the pros so here are a few of the cons:

1. Sound is mediocre. It is top quality to watch a TV show, but bland to watch a good movie or music show.  If you have a genuine TV you must have a sound system but that’s my outlook and every one to their own.

2. The remote is not as satisfactorily laid out as the one on PZ80. The three big buttons above the directional keys are dominated by the rarely used VieraLink, VieraCast and VieraTool. The usually used Menu key is moved to a minor key.

3. The stand does not swivel but I don’t swivel mine any way. Any serious TV needs to be left alone as the more it moves the more chance it can fall. Benefit I have mine mounted.

No matter what of the above drawbacks, in general I find this TV to have the finest picture quality and price combination. The pros by far offset the cons. The picture excellence of this TV is truly astonishing as such some calls it "The New King of Plasma" Anyone sincerely considering an HDTV must take a look at this one.

I highly vouch for it.
